Presentation Guidelines

Oral Presentation Guidelines:

Presentation Times:

  • Invited or Awards presentations are 30 minutes long, including 25 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • Contributed presentations are 15 minutes long, including 12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions and discussion.

Audio-Visual Setup:
The conference room will be set up with a screen, microphone, LCD projector, and laptop (PC). NAMBE will provide a laptop (PC) in the session room. Please load your presentation using a flash drive on to this computer prior to the start of the session or during a session break. Please note that PowerPoint (16:9) is the recommended presentation software.

Poster Presentation Guidelines:

Poster presenters are requested to be present at (or near) their poster during the times scheduled for poster viewing.

Workshop on Quantum Materials Epitaxy Posters: Saturday, September 16, 2023, Grand Terrace East
  • Setup Time: Saturday, September 16, 2023, 1:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
  • Poster Session Hours: Saturday, September 16, 2023, 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
  • Poster Removal: Posters must be removed immediately following the session. Please note that we cannot take responsibility for any posters left on the boards after the session – any remaining posters will be discarded.
  • Poster Size: Poster presenters will be provided with a blank board and push pins for mounting posters at the setup times listed below. Each poster presenter will be allotted space that is 48 inches x 48 inches high. Please make your poster no larger than 46 inches wide by 46 inches high to ensure it fits nicely into the allotted space. The boards are made from cork, and tacks will be available for posting your work.
